Dolorous for Dolores

Bad pun, I know.

This week on 15th January the rather splendid Dolores O'Riordan of The Cranberries died. She was 46.

I was upset by this news because songs like Linger, I Still do and Zombie were part of the soundtrack to my youthful angst in the 1990s. I loved the way that she sang in her Limerick accent - how fabulously, powerfully Irish she was! That voice got into your marrow - those songs got me through some long, dark teatimes of the soul.

Cheers Dolores! R.I.P.
